Ina Yoshikawa was born in Tokyo. She was studying voice at the Tokyo College of Music and at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg-Augsburg at Jan Hammar. After graduation she was member of the Nuremberg Staatstheater International Opernstudio, soloist at the Landestheater Linz in Austria, a member of the soloist ensemble of the Staatsoper Hannover and the Staatstheater Nuremberg.
Ina Yoshikawa has had great success in several competitions as the Chokohai International Music Competition, the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Competition in Vienna, the Internationalen Alexander Girardi Voice Competition as well as the Tokyo Music Competition.
The soprano has found her way onto several stages in Germany, Italy and Japan as concert and opera singer.
Her repertoire includes sacred music, songs and numerous operatic roles such as: Pamina (Die Zauberflöte), Oscar (Ein Maskenball), 1st Niece (Peter Grimes), Adele (Die Fledermaus), Olympia (Les Contes d’Hoffmann), Clorinda (La Cenerentola), Calisto (La Calisto), Marzelline (Fidelio), Elvira (L’Italiana in Algeri), Gilda (Rigoletto), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Woglinde (Das Rheingold, Götterdämmerung).
